God Can Afford Everything

Yesterday I bought a bar of chocolate from a kiosk in town. It was 20 pence more than the ones they sell in supermarkets, and in shops around my local area, which seemed rather extortionate.

One could argue that supermarkets tend to buy things in bulk which means they get huge discounts, so they can afford to sell stuff a lot cheaper than in smaller shops. The kiosk was also in an area of London that has a higher tax than local shops in my area, so it's only natural that they would charge more for their products. Besides, with all these cheap shops cropping all over the place, there's now no excuse to complain. If one shop is too expensive, you're bound to get good value at a Pound store.

Hmmm! There's got to be more going on than discounts and higher taxes. If God/Love is all there is, why is society so unequal? Why can't we have all our needs taken care of without having to quibble over the price?

As I was walking to the bus stop, I noticed how radiant the evening was. Day light reflects the Infinitude of Love. There's more than enough sunlight for each of us to enjoy. This means that at one level we do operate on a level playing field.

How does one translate the Infinitude of God/Light into every day reality?

It's important to remember that God's supply is never depleted, just like there's more than enough sunlight for all.

Next, it is important to trust in God's supply to meet the need.

A while back I was playing with a friend's son, who was four years old at the time. In the game, he was pretending to be a shopkeeper, while I was his customer. His toys were his stock. I asked him how much each toy cost and he gave me a price. I pretended to give him whatever he asked for. It didn't matter to me whether he wanted £50 or £1 million, I gave him the amount.

My point is that it matters not how much something costs, God can afford it.

So what if someone wants 70 pence for a bar of chocolate? No problem, God can afford it. Enjoy your chocolate.

So what if the flat you would love to live in costs £1000 a week in rent? No problem, God can afford the amount. Enjoy living in your new flat.

While I was pondering on these ideas, I decided to go for a bus ride in a part of London I don't usually visit. On the way I noticed a building with the words "El-Shaddai", which I knew was one of the names of God:

"El-Shaddai means God Almighty. El points to the power of God Himself. Shaddai seems to be derived from another word meaning breast, which implies that Shaddai signifies one who nourishes, supplies, and satisfies. It is God as El who helps, but it is God as Shaddai who abundantly blesses with all manner of blessings." Names of God
When I think I can't afford something, I'm leaving God out of the picture. In other words, I'm identifying myself with limitations.

El-Shaddai can afford everything.
I am Infinity.

I love films.

Just because I connect with some films and not with others doesn't mean they have no value. I believe all films have value for Love is in all.

Here are a few of my favourite films that have inspired me.

Mary Poppins inspired: Never Mind the Clouds
Terminator 2: Judgment Day inspired: The Father and I are One
Total Recall inspired: Nothing Can Be Added To or Taken Away from Perfection
The Truman Show inspired: Light is All and in All
Touching the Void inspired: Be True to Yourself
The Abyss inspired: The Mirror Image Experiment
Jerry Maguire inspired: A Demonstration of Oneness
StarTrek Voyager inspired: Heaven is Now
Life of Brian inspired: Are You Sure You're Ready to Receive?
Forrest Gump inspired: Sleeping Partners
The Breakfast Club inspired: Supply and Demand are One.
American Beauty inspired: Masters of Time.

I wish I had the time to watch all films that have ever been made. I'm sure I would be able to demonstrate how Love is being expressed in each film.

I am really grateful for the gift of cinema, films and television.

While I was responding to a friend's post in a forum I mentioned that it was pissing it down with rain. After I finished, I spoke to a security guard. I told him he was looking really healthy and brown. He said he gets a tan very easily even when it's raining. He told me I looked radiant as ever.

Just as I was about to leave the building I noticed it had stopped raining and the sun was shining brightly. It was so bright outside it was radiant. The receptionist asked me if I knew it had been raining a few moments ago. I said I had heard. She said it was so dark it looked like the end of the world, now it was bright and sunny. She said the sun had come out just for me and I should go out and enjoy it.

The brilliant sunshine and dry weather lasted until I got to my destination then it started raining again.

I am Radiance.

Playing the Game

Yesterday, I went to a poetry performance at my favourite bookshop. The host announced that there was one slot available and asked if anyone wanted to perform one poem. He had obviously already lined up poets to perform. I said I wanted to perform. It was my first time performing at this particular bookshop. He put me on first. Yes, I know your game, get the rubbish poet on first, then make her look bad by bringing on the real poets.

I told him I wasn't strictly a poet but just playing at being one. So when he announced me, he told everyone I was only playing.

The wonderful thing about playing at being a performance poet is there's no pressure at all. I felt really relaxed and had fun reading this poem I had been inspired to write after the bombing in London two years ago.

It was good to watch the "professionals" in action. Poetry is truly an art form.

Maybe, I'll attend another venue and play at being a performance poet. Who knows, I may very well become an expert at this game...or not.

It's fun to play.

As I was walking to the traffic light I saw the bus I wanted approaching the bus stop. I didn't want to miss it. It seemed to take ages for the traffic light to change and when it did and I crossed over the road, the bus I wanted had moved off. Maybe I could catch the one behind and try and get the one in front and some point. The one behind had closed its doors. I caught the third one.

I wanted the bus I was on to overtake the one in front so we would be right behind the one I wanted and eventually overtake it. Then I thought to myself, what does it matter anyway? Whether I catch that one in front or wait for the next one, I will still get to my destination. Besides, forcing things to change only creates tension within me so I relaxed and let things happen.

The bus I was on soon overtook the one in front and wasn't that far behind from the one I wanted. Then we got caught in traffic which meant the one in front shot off. I had an idea to get off at a bus stop and catch any of 3 buses that went a particular route. I would then change further down to another bus that would take me where I wanted to go, which is what I did.

Missing that bus was reminding me that when I am attached to only one way of experiencing the world, I am not open to the many options I have available.

Thank you bus!

I Would Rather Be Myself Than Convert Others

I've had to learn the hard way that trying to convert others to my way of seeing doesn't work at all. When I'm trying to fix or change someone, I'm giving out the signal that I'm unhappy with myself; for the other I'm trying to change/fix is no other than another version of myself experiencing a different reality. So I find it best to let others be and simply be myself.

I've noticed that when I'm being in joy others around me are influenced to follow their joy.

The other day my mother said she went to an area of London that she was wary about because of what she's read in the newspapers. She wasn't sure how to get to the local train station and asked a bus driver if he went near the station. He said he didn't. Out of nowhere, several young men turned up and advised mum to take the bus and where to get off. She said they were so helpful. Mum said she's realising that people are kind, you just have to be open to it. I told mum that is exactly how I see the world: I trust in the goodness that is in all and that is what I experience.

So instead of trying to convert someone to my way, to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi, I would rather be the change I want to see in the world. Then the world shape-shifts into who I am being.

All is Love.

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalm 16: 11
What does it mean to be joyful?

Imagine having a bank account where your balance remains the same no matter how much you spend. This means that if on one day you choose to spend £1,000 then your balance is still the same. If on the next day you only spend £5, then your balance remains the same.

Joyfulness is like a bank account that is never depleted. Whether I'm actually expressing my joy in the form of walking, writing, listening to music, watching a film or simply being in silence, my Joy is ever full.

In Joy.

A Ladder is a Ladder is a Ladder

Love is all there is.

While it seems like we are experiencing different realities, we are simply expressing Love from our different perspectives, which make us unique.

Many years ago when I was studying Pranic Healing, we were being taught distant healing. We split into pairs. The idea was for each partner to sit in different parts of the building, send/receive healing, then share any feedbacks we had. When it was my turn to receive, I saw two images in mind. First, I saw myself sitting on the grass in the park surrounded by beautiful flowers and it felt very peaceful. The second image was of a ladder.

When it came to sharing feedbacks I told the class what I'd seen. My partner said first of all she sent me peace. It now made sense why I had seen myself in a park because I find parks peaceful. What about the ladder? She said she'd scanned my inner organs and visualised herself using a ladder to climb down into my body. Aha, that's why I saw the ladder.

A ladder is a ladder is a ladder.

Song of the Day

This song takes me back to when I used to go clubbing every Friday night to a club called "Bananas." (That night club no longer exists). I would dance all night.

That was when I fell in love with this song; I still love it.

Shalamar - Night to Remember.

I love music.

Song: Night to Remember Lyrics

When you love someone it's natural, not demanding
And that's one thing I'm proud to say I found in you
I'm so glad we reached an understanding
Now I know my heart is safe with you, hoo...
So now my love to you, baby, I surrender

Get ready tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready (Oh, baby) tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember

Celebrations and my heart could stay united
And there's nothing in this world to come between me and you
We're together and it keeps me so excited
To think of what the power of love can do, ooh...
And I'm filled with a love that's, oh, so tender

Get ready [Baby] tonight [Girl]
I'm gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready [Get ready] tonight
I'm gonna make this a night to remember

Make this a night to remember

Get ready tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready [Get ready] tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember

Get ready (Baby) tonight (Darlin')
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready (Darlin') tonight (Baby)
Gonna make this a night to remember

This night you won't forget
Gonna make this a night to remember
‘Cause your love I won't regret
Gonna make this a night to remember

Get ready [Baby] tonight (Darlin')
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready [It won't be like the past] tonight (I will make it last)
Gonna make this a night to remember

Make this a night to remember
Make this a night to remember

Let's make a toast to those who helped make this occasion
They turn their back on love and that's what drove you straight to me
Now to you I make a lasting dedication
I'll show you all that love and life can be, hoo...
And each day that I live I will deliver

Get ready (This night you won't forget) tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready (‘Cause your love I won't regret) tonight
Gonna make this a night to remember

Get ready [Baby] tonight (Darlin')
Gonna make this a night to remember
Get ready [It won't be like the past] tonight (I will make it last)
Gonna make this a night to remember

No Beginning or Ending

I believe Love has no beginning or ending, and yet every single experience I have has a beginning and ending.

Every article has a beginning and ending.
Every journey I make on the bus has a beginning and ending.
Every task I undertake has a beginning and ending.

How can I be Love that has no beginning or ending and yet experience beginnings and endings?

It is true that Love never ends nor does it have a beginning, it's just a matter of perspective.

How so?

Every experience is simply Love taking on different forms. So let's say I'm writing an article, Love takes the form of the idea or experience which I write about and publish. Once that article is finished, Love either rests or turns HER attention to dreaming a new dream.

It is endless Love that is dreaming endless dreams which have beginnings and endings.

End of this Love dream article.

On to the next Love dream.

Spirit Folk

In the sci-fi series called StarTrek, which is about a crew exploring space in a spaceship, there is a technology on board called the holodeck. Let's say, a crew member wants to experience a reality, all he needs to do is write the equivalent computer programme, run the programme on the holodeck, enter the programme and have the experience. When a group wants to experience a reality, they write the programme collectively based on each person's preferences and then experience the reality collectively. When they've had enough of the experience they simply exit by asking the computer to end the programme.

In the StarTrek Voyager episode, Spirit Folk the crew have been running a programme that Harry Kim and Tom Paris created of an Irish village called "Fair Haven" that is set in the early 20th century. Whenever members of Voyager pay Fair Haven a visit, they dress just like the locals. The villagers have no idea that they are programmes and believe they are real humans. The crew end up forming strong ties with the people of Fair Haven; the captain has even fallen in love with the manager at the local pub.

On one occasion, Harry goes out on a date with Maggie from Fair Haven. Just as he's is about to kiss Maggie, his friend Tom decides to play a practical joke on him by rewriting the programme, which transforms Maggie into a cow. Unfortunately for Tom, two Fair Haven locals witness this transformation. The villagers are now suspicious of the Voyager crew who they now believe to be Spirit folk with magical powers. The villagers corner Tom and Harry and accuse them of witchcraft. Because of a malfunction in the programme, Tom and Harry are not able to exit the programme and they are captured. The villagers tie them up and perform incantations to banish them to the "other side" but their incantations don't work.

To cut a long story short, the captain eventually confesses to the villagers that they are not from Fair Haven but are explorers travelling on a space ship. The captain doesn't tell the villagers the whole truth that they are only computer programmes. The locals accept her explanation and the crew continues to be friends with the villagers.

I believe earth is a programme that we've all collectively written. Even though it feels like we're on some part of the galaxy, the truth is we've never left home. We are Spirit beings playing at being human. The programmes we have all written are meant to be harmless fun.

However, what has happened is some people have forgotten that they have written the programme and that they can change the programme if it's not to their satisfaction. When those who remember who they are change the programme, they are seen as Spirit folk and put on a pedestal. The truth is we are all Spirit folk.

How do you change the programme? Remember that you are Love dreaming about love.

Sweet dreams!

Love is All There Is

I believe there is only the One being the all. The One is Love.

Love only sees and knows perfection.

I can't identify myself as Love while I go around with the "them" and "us" mentality. By this I mean, the moment I think of some as "asleep" and not being love, and others as "awake" I'm not being Love. Why is that? Because there are no divisions in Love; it's either all or nothing.

As I see it, all is perfection; all is spirit; all is joy; all is wisdom; all is power; all is light; all is love.

Love is all there is.

Michael McDonald's song Sweet Freedom inspired me to believe in the magic of Self that I am. Thank you Michael.

The song also inspired this article: I Believe in Magic

Hope you enjoy the video.

See lyrics below:

Sweet Freedom - Michael McDonald

(Rod Temperton)

No more runnin' down the wrong road
Dancin' to a diff'rent drum
Can't you see what's goin' on
Deep inside your heart
Always searchin' for the real thing
Livin' like it's far away
Just leave all the madness in yesterday
You're holdin' the key
When you believe it

Shine sweet freedom
Shine your light on me
You are the magic
You're right where I wanna be
Oh sweet freedom carry me along
We'll keep the spirit alive on and on

We'll be dancin' in the moonlight
Smilin' with the risin' sun
Livin' like we've never done
Goin' all the way
Reachin' out to meet the changes
Touchin' every shining star
The light of tomorrow is right where we are
There's no turnin' back
From what I'm feeling

Coz there'll be starlight all night
When we're close together
Share those feelings dancin' in your eyes
Tonight they're guiding us
Shinin' till the mornin' light Lyrics Mania

I love Anita Baker. Here's a video of Priceless.

Here's the lyrics if anyone fancy a sing-a-long.

When you ask me how I feel about you
I tried to find the word that best describes you
You are to me like a precious jewel, so valuable baby
You shine so bright, lighting up my life with pure delight

You are so priceless to me
And loving you has made me see
With your love, I can do most anything

I envision you and me in love together
Coming closer as we share each day together

Give me all the gold in the world
It will not replace this love, babyYou are so priceless to me
You're like the first rainbow in spring
Your love comforts my heart with joy you bring

Take a diamond ring worth a lot
What we got cannot be bought or sold

You are so priceless to me
And loving you has made me see
With your love, I can do most anything
Yes sir
You are so priceless to me
You're like the first rainbow in spring
Your love comforts my heart with joy you bring

Never had a lover, babe
My baby, my baby, my darlin'

You are so priceless to me
And loving you has made me see
With you love, I can do most anything Lyrics

The Great Pretender

Life is a long game of let's pretend.

My mother woke up the other day with a headache. She said she had it all night. So I pretended to remove the headache for her, though I didn't tell her I was doing it. When I asked her a few minutes later she said she was feeling a lot better.

Recently I noticed several cars had been broken into and had been stripped almost bare. I felt sorry for the owners. After a few days and the cars had not been removed, I pretended I was removing the cars. In my mind's eye I lifted the cars away and put them in the Consuming Fire of Love to be transmuted. The next day I noticed the cars had been removed.

I was just saying to a friend via email that I fancy pretending I'm a performance poet. If there is an "open mic" performance this evening at my favourite bookshop, I'm going to perform. Should be a lot of fun.

Right now I'm pretending I'm not already one with everyone and posting these ideas on the Web. Yeah right!

The bottom line is when I make a choice to experience something, I'm pretending. In truth, as Light, I am in all realities but I'm just pretending I like some things over others. Still, it's fun to pretend.

I am the Great Pretender.

In truth there is only one Infinite Self. Some of the attributes of Infinite Self include: Acceptance, Beauty, Boundlessness, Brilliance, Creativity, Freedom, Goodness, Inspiration, Intelligence, Joy, Life, Light, Love, Magic, Order, Peace, Perfection, Power, Presence, Purity, Radiance, Simplicity, Wholeness, Wisdom and Wonder.

Beliefs of right and wrong make no difference to Self. Why? Because nothing can be added to or taken away from perfection.

The problem is that in the human dream, there is the belief that what you do now has an impact on the next moment. For instance, if I walk 10 miles I am meant to get tired because of loss of energy. On the other hand, as Infinite Self, it doesn't matter if I walk 10, 20, 50, or 100 miles, I'll still feel energised because I cannot make a dent on infinity.

It appears as if the human experience is in direct opposition to the Infinite Self. Surely one can't experience both at the same time?

No, you have to choose which is your true identity. When you identify yourself as "only human" you receive all the "benefits" that come with that identity. However, when you identify yourself as Spirit or Infinite Self, then you end up experiencing life as Infinite Self.

OK, so I identify myself as Spirit, now what?

Now you are Spirit, what about the next now?

Surely once I've identified myself as Spirit this means for all time?

If it was that simple we'd all be living as Spirit. Identifying yourself as Spirit is one thing, accepting it is another. When you're constantly being bombarded with beliefs about suffering, lack, old age, sickness and death, you have to be vigilant.

So, what you're saying is I have to be constantly making a commitment to identify myself as Spirit.

That's right. You have to remind yourself of your identity as Spirit or Infinite Self.

I see.

And another thing, once you accept that your identify is Infinite Self you'll realise that it is You as the Infinite Self dreaming the wonder that is life.

I am Infinite Self.

Starring in My Own Movie

In Janet Jackson's That's the Way Love Goes, Janet is dancing with a group of friends. Well, one of the dancers went on to become a superstar in her own right?

Who is this dancer?

Jennifer Lopez the singer, dancer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer.

I believe while it's fun to be in a supporting role in someone life movie, it's more fulfilling being the star in my own right. Only then can I truly express who I am.

Naturally, I always have people who are willing to support me in my movie.

The One Constant

While life appears to be in a state of flux, nothing really changes.

At the library one of the librarians informed me about the changes that were about to occur. She said most of the librarians I was familiar with were being moved to other branches. This meant there was only going to be one librarian I know and the rest will be new faces. I wished her well in her new post.

On the one hand, it's nice to work with people I'm used to working with; and they are lovely people. On the other hand, I will get used to the new people. Besides, what difference does it make who the librarians are as long as they are implementing the same policy? Put another way, who cares what masks Love is wearing as long as He is being Love?

Speaking of masks, on the bus yesterday I whiled the time away with my head literally in the clouds. I was looking for a heart shape cloud formation. A young man getting off the bus attracted my attention. I noticed he was gazing at someone in the bus with such admiration. Lucky girl (or boy) for having such a cute guy's attention. It was then realised it was me he was staring at. His gaze was so intense I looked away. Just before the bus drove away I smiled and waved and he smiled and waved back. I've still got it attracting a boy young enough to be my son. That really made my day.

In the world things change and people move on. In reality nothing ever changes because it is the same old Love wearing the many different masks.

I trust in Love.

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4: 4
I was enjoying the rice and chicken dish my mother had prepared though it was very spicy. I couldn't quite work out whether the savoury rice was already spicy before I added chilli sauce to the chicken. After I finished eating my mouth was on fire. I drank some water but my mouth was still burning. I imagined myself eating pure love in the form of liquid light. The Light instantly wiped out the spicy taste and I was back to my default taste - sweetness.

The experience reminded me that I can easily absorb Love without needing to eat. I visualised myself as a sponge absorbing light through my eyes, nostrils, mouth, and the pores of my skin.

Surely if I'm already Love why do I need to absorb love?

Because my body needs to be trained that it is sustained by Love and not by food alone.

I am a sponge absorbing Love-Light.

The Good Old Days

I've heard people talk about the good old days when people used to leave their back doors open and trusted in their neighbours.

While the bus I was on was at the bus stop, I noticed a man outside pushing a girl in a buggy (pushchair). He stopped in front of a shop. He left the girl in the buggy outside and went inside the shop. I couldn't tell how long the girl was outside the shop as the bus moved away.

There are two ways to look at the man's action.

On the one hand, I could see the man as not being in his right mind by leaving a young girl outside, even if he was only just popping into the shop for a moment. Didn't he realise that anyone could show up and abduct the child?

On the other hand, I could see the man's actions as demonstrating trust in the Universe, like the good old days when people trusted their neighbours.

As far as I see it, the good old days is now.

I trust in the universe.

The Music of Love

Love is like listening to music. While people are listening to the same song they get different things from it. Some people are inspired by the lyrics; some simply love to dance to the music; some people find joy from the singer's voice; some focus on the feelings they get from the song; while some people are inspired by the music video.

However we choose to experience the music of Love, it's still Love.

I Hear You

All buses in London have bells that are easily accessible to each passenger, which you have to press to alert the driver that you need to get off at the next stop. What I find interesting is that no matter what part of the bus you're sitting in, once you press the bell the driver can hear you.

The bell represents Source/Love/God's omniscience. It doesn't matter where you are, Love is already there. Love knows every single thought. It's no use telling God/Love/Source what He already knows.

God's message for today: "There's no need to continue ringing that bell. I can already hear you!"

Going the Whole Hog

As I was walking to the bus station, I noticed our next door neighbour sitting at the local bus stop. After we said hello and exchanged hugs she asked me if she could walk with me to the main road. She said she didn't like walking on her own in that area because she'd heard people had got mugged in the area and didn't want to be attacked. While we were walking we chatted about her husband who has been ill and is housebound. At the main road we hugged and I wished her a good day and walked to the bus station.

When I got on the bus, downstairs was already full so I went upstairs. A passenger in front of me was taking her time getting up the stairs. When we finally got upstairs I found a seat but the passenger remained standing. When the bus turned the corner she nearly went flying.

I was curious about her. I noticed she had some sheets of newspaper in her hand. Before she sat down she covered the seat with the newspaper. When the bus approached her stop, she gathered her sheets and took them with her.

I wondered if she covered everywhere she went. Her not wanting to touch anything must stem from the belief in diseases and contamination. The cause of these beliefs is fear. Where there is fear there is, to a certain extent, a lack of trust.

Is it possible to have only part trust in something? Yes.

My neighbour walked with me to the main road because she trusted in me. To a certain extent she does trust in people otherwise she wouldn't be travelling on the bus. It's just that she is very selective about who she trusts.

The woman on the bus also trusted in the driver otherwise she wouldn't have got on the bus in the first place. It's just that she doesn't trust in her environment.

It would seem that if you only trust in some things and not in others then you have the equivalent experience. In other words, if you have 20% trust in something then you must expect the equivalent experience.

How can one experience trust 100%?

You have to be prepared to go the whole hog.

If the woman on the bus were to trust that life is good and not out to hurt anyone she wouldn't find it necessary to protect herself by carrying newspapers. That belief will spill out into all areas of her life.

If my neighbour were to trust that there is good in everyone, she would walk round our neighbourhood without fear. This belief will spill out into all areas of her life.

I trust in the goodness of life.
I trust in love.
I trust in the universe.
I trust in myself.

The Universe Gives and the Universe Takes Away

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7: 7-8

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11: 28-30
Sometimes when you win you lose.

The other day my mother and I watched the Eurovision Song Contest, though I didn't hear all the songs as I came home partway through the show. It was interesting to see that most of the contestants sang in English. The United Kingdom entry, Scooch, was quite a fun song.

The fun part, I find, about this show is when the results come in. Who is going to get the dreaded nil point or "nil pwan" as they say in Europe. United Kingdom wasn't getting any love from the other countries and had no points for ages until Ireland gave them 7 points, then Malta gave them 12 points. That was their lot. At least UK didn't come last, they were second to last; Ireland was at the bottom.

Serbia was the runaway winner. The rules of the game is the winning country gets to host the next Eurovision.

"It's all very well Serbia winning the Eurovision, but how on earth is such a small country going to afford to host the next Eurovision?" mum said.

"Well, the Serbians should expect higher taxation," I said. "They might even need to borrow money from the world bank. That's what you get for winning such a prestigious contest such as the Eurovision."

Mum and I had a good chuckle.

"I bet you there was someone who was on bended knees praying for the UK not to win the Eurovision," I said.

"Ken Livingstone," I said. "It's bad enough London is meant to be hosting the Olympics in 2012. The last thing Ken needs is to worry about hosting the Eurovision in London." (Ken Livingstone is the current Mayor of London).

"Yes, I bet Ken is relieved the UK didn't win."

"Not that the UK had any hope of winning with that song," I said. "I don't think the rest of Europe got it. I bet you Ireland is glad they didn't win either."

"That's not surprising. Their entry wasn't very good," mum said.

"Really? I didn't hear it. I bet they deliberately entered a crap song so they'd have no chance of winning."

The contest got me thinking about the nature of the Universe. On the one hand, the Universe gives me the option to choose that experiences I want to experience. However, the responsibility to choose comes at a price: I have to figure out whether my choice is good for me. When I finally discover that the very things I used to crave for I no longer choose to experience, it is then I ask the Universe to remove my creations, erase the desire to have such an experience, and to only experience what blesses all.

Winning the Eurovision is now old hat for the UK and Ireland: Ireland has won it seven times and the UK five times. Both countries are aware that winning the Eurovision is a huge responsibility. While hosting the Eurovision is supposed to be an opportunity to promote tourism, the UK doesn't need to win the contest to attract tourists; tons of tourists flock to the UK every year anyway. Is it possible the UK/Ireland collective consciousness is deliberately choosing an entry that has no chance of winning the contest? I'm reminded of a classic episode of Father Ted, which is a comedy about a group of priests living in Ireland.

Fathers Ted and Dougal decide to enter a song called My Lovely Horse in the song for Europe song contest. Although their song is complete rubbish, it is voted as the Irish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. One contestant whose song is a lot better accuses the officials of deliberately selecting a song that will lose Ireland the Eurovision contest. The Irish song ends up with nil point. Hilarious!

I am so grateful that the Universe gives and the Universe takes away.

One Long Dream

I've been watching reruns of the 80s soap, Dallas.

When Patrick Duffy who played the part of Bobby Ewing decided to leave the show, Bobby was killed off at the end of Season 7. During season 8, everyone in the family, including his wife, Pamela, had to come to terms with Bobby's death. Pamela eventually met someone new, fell in love, and got married.

In the meantime, Patrick Duffy agreed to return to the show. The problem with this decision was the writers had to come up with a way to bring Bobby Ewing back since he was supposed to be dead. The writers came up with a brilliant plan - a dream. At the end of Season 8, Pamela woke up and discovered her husband in the shower. She realised that she had been having a nightmare about Bobby's death, which never happened.

Season 8 is a bit like life really that can seem to be full of fear and unhappiness. In Reality, we are all one in Love where we experience only joy and happiness.

Thank you Dallas for understanding the nature of Reality.

So I thought it would be fun walking round Covent Garden. Although it was quite crowded and buzzing with activity, it felt to me like nothing was going on. In fact it was as if I was completely alone and it was very peaceful. I noticed a tall man walking towards me and I recognised him as a friend I met years ago when I used to go chanting at the Hare Krishna temple. He was dressed in ordinary clothes and I wondered if he was no longer a Hare Krishna devotee, then I noticed he was carrying the Bhagavad Gita. We chatted for a few minutes about a mutual friend who used to be a Krishna devotee, the benefits of chanting, and his belief that he was going to be with Krishna after he dies. I told him I believed in being with God now. He invited me to visit the temple sometime.

I remember a while back when I saw my friend in the streets giving out books, I was so happy to see him, I hugged him. While he accepted my hug, he told me off gently about it. He said as a monk he wasn't allowed to exchange hugs. So just as I was saying goodbye I asked him if he was allowed to exchange hugs and he said no. I clasped my hands to my heart and said "Hari Krishna" and he did the same.

As I walked away I thought it was such a shame my friend and I couldn't exchange hugs because of his religious beliefs. Five minutes later I saw a friend from university. He was very open to receive my hug. He introduced me to his friend and we chatted for about an hour. Before I left I hugged both guys.

It was wonderful to have my wish fulfilled.

Song of the Day

Here's one of my favourite Lenny Kravitz songs: Fly Away.

This song inspired me to write this story: Our Daily Bread.

Thank you Lenny Kravitz. I love you!

The Wonder of Creepy-Crawlies

It's strange how I'd been programmed to regard some insects/creepy-crawlies such as ladybirds and butterflies as cute, while others such as spiders, cockroaches and flies were to be feared and squashed; unless of course you are an entomologist.

On the bus I noticed a creepy-crawlie on the window next to me. I had no idea what it was and I certainly didn't want it crawling next to me. Then I had a thought: why not observe it instead? I watched its little legs crawling op the window. I zoomed in for a closer look. Its body was bright orange and very pretty. The insect stood still. I wondered if it was allowing me to admire it even further.

Soon another insect appeared. This one was a lot smaller and its body was light green. I would never have noticed it in the forest because it would simply have merged in with the environment. I admired its little legs. It also stood very still.

While I was busy admiring the insects the last thing on my mind was repulsion. I turned my attention away and let my little friends do their thing.

At home I noticed an insect crawling on the bathroom door. It was brown and resembled a cockroach. It stood very still and allowed me to look at it close up. Just as I was about to kiss it, it moved away. What a cute little fellow!

The world is full of wonder.

It's All Done and Dusted

done and dusted (BrE, informal) completely finished: That’s my article for the magazine done and dusted. Oxford dictionary
During my bus journey home I had a vision.

I saw myself and all life forms from every time and reality standing on this huge stage taking a bow. We were all applauding and congratulating ourselves for a job well done.

I was reminded of my time at university. Each time we were given essay titles and the deadline to hand in the essay, I would immediately have a vision of myself handing in the essay. In my mind it was already done and dusted. The problem was I was so confident I had a lot of time that I would do nothing for weeks until a few days before the deadline when I would start to panic about the essay. The classic example was when it came to writing my 10,000 words dissertation. I had done some reading and knew what I wanted to write about, however, the "leaving things till the last minute" habit I had prevented me from getting started until two days before the deadline. I was so stressed I had a stomach upset. I was still printing the pages around 4.30 and the deadline was 5 pm at another campus. I didn't even have time to check for grammar, which I knew I was going to be penalised for. I had to catch a taxi to get to the campus on time. I handed in my essay at 4.55 pm. At least I did get it done.

The vision I always had of myself handing in my essays was a gift, but I didn't know how to use that gift at the time. I now realise that I should have simply let the vision of myself with the "done and dusted essay" write the essay. Then I wouldn't have had to go through that unnecessary stress. Who knows I could have ended up with a First Class Honours degree. Damn it!

I believe the vision I had while travelling on the bus represents life, the many roles we are all playing, which has already happened. Even if I live for billions of years as a human, it's already done and dusted.

At least now I know how to use this vision. Instead of trying to resolve issues all I have to do is simply remember the Me standing on the stage and let Her do the work.

It's all done and dusted. I am where I need to be.

Take a bow! Applause!

The REAL Secret

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth* and beings called Humours. God blessed Humours and gave them power to create joy and humour. God also warned Humours to avoid the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil or they will die.

Humours had a whale of a time being happy and jolly and having a ball. Life was always fun.

One day a Humour walked by the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Tree: Hey Humour, come over here!

Humour: What's up tree? Why don't you come down and join the party and have some fun.

Tree: I'm having way too much fun here, thank you.

Humour: Suit yourself. Have fun anyway.

Tree: Wait! Why don't you have some of my fruits? I've been dying to share my fruits but no one wants to share them with me.

Humour: That's because God said we shouldn't eat from your tree or we will die.

Tree: I'm sure God wouldn't mind if you take one bite. Besides, it will be a laugh.

Humour: Are you sure I won't die?

Tree: Of course I'm sure. I'll tell you a secret. The reason why God doesn't want you to eat my fruits is because your eyes will be open.

Humour (chuckling): What do you mean?

Tree: You will learn a lot about yourself as a Humour.

Humour: You're having a laugh, right?

Tree: No, I'm deadly serious.

Humour: What do you mean by "deadly serious"?

Tree: Eat my fruits and find out.

Humour decided there was no harm in having one bite. He liked it so much he ate several fruits. Being a good-natured kind of Humour, he decided to share his fruits with the first Humour he came across. The other Humour ate it and liked it.

Suddenly, their eyes were open; both Humours realised they were different. One had boobs and the other had a willy. They bickered over their differences. They were so disruptive the other Humours didn't know how to deal with them so Humours created another world and sent the disruptive Humours to live in that world.

As you can see, death occurred when Humours lost their humour and became humans.

In the new world, humans gave birth to more humans and yet deep inside they knew there was more to them than just being human, but they were still stuck being humans. From time to time Humours were sent to the world humans now lived in to remind them about their true nature as Humours. They were taught that one way to regain your Humour is to stop trying to make others wrong for being who they are. Accept everyone. Love yourself and you will be Humours.

Now that you know the REAL Secret, please forward this message to others so they too can awaken to their true selves as Humours.

Forward to one friend and you'll receive two jokes for free.
Forward to 5 friends and you'll receive 50 free tickets to a comedy club.
Forward to 100 friends and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
Keep this message to yourself and you will still be blessed with humour.

Blessings to all Humours.

Joy to the Nth Degree

Ever had one of those moments when you're laughing so hard you can't take any more joy?

As I was queuing up in the library I heard whistling behind me. I turned round and saw a young man I've never met before.

"Oh, it's you," I said. "For a moment I thought you were a bird."

My friend chuckled but I wasn't finished with him yet.

"I was thinking these birds are really clever these days coming to the library," I continued.

"A bird in the library?" My friend howled with laughter, "that's a good one."

"Yes, this bird is so clever the scientists want to interview him," I said. "They can't believe a bird knows how to use the Internet."

"Enough," my friend said holding his stomach, "I can't take any more of your bird story."

That's Joy for you, it just doesn't know when to shut up!

Cars are Lovely

While I was waiting to cross at the Zebra crossing, a car flashed at me signalling that I should cross. I waved my appreciation at the driver.

It got me thinking about how cars are a lot like people.

Cars express themselves in many different shapes and colours.

Cars need a lot of TLC (tender loving care) in the form of petrol, oil, cleaning, and servicing.

Cars communicate their love and appreciation by flashing their lights.

When a car wants to show which way it's turning it indicates by flashing either left or right.

When a car wants to stop the red light at the back comes on.

When a car wants to attract another car's attention or a pedestrian's it blinks at them.

When a car wants to chat to other cars or alert pedestrians it honks.

When cars are not being driven they are parked on the side of the road or in a garage having a good rest.

Cars are adorable.

Honk if you love cars!

As I was getting off the bus I noticed a lady stroking her kitten. I stroked its head for a few seconds before getting off the bus.

Isn't it wonderful how cats don't have to do anything at all but look cute and cat lovers are all over them?

There is a lesson in there somewhere. There's nothing for us to do but simply be ourselves and let love in.

I am what I am.

Empty Buckets

While I was helping a friend with her essay, she said that when she first saw me she told her kids that I looked like a woman who was very intellectual. That made me chuckle. I've never thought of myself that way. I guess she always sees me writing and presumes I must have a lot of stuff in my head. Actually, I do have a lot to say but there's usually nothing in my head.

As they say, empty buckets do make the most noise.

Helping Others Fulfil Their Dreams

One of the things I love doing is helping others fulfill their dreams.

A few days ago a friend I see in the library asked me if I could help her with an essay she was working on. She's originally from Portugal and needed help with her grammar. We arranged to meet up this morning.

I've just finished helping my friend with her personal statement for her UCAS application for a university place. She intends to study psychology and specialise in child psychology.

I have received and still receive tons of help to enable me to fulfill my dreams of being true to myself. I'm only too happy to return the favour when I can.

With love.

Walking on Sunshine

I once had a dream that almost came true. Well it did come true but not in the way I expected.

The dream I had was I wanted to work as a nurse in the British Army. I applied and went through various medical and aptitude tests, which I passed. The final hurdle was attending the interview at Aldershot selection centre.

While I was at Aldershot I experienced what it would be like living in army barracks and having to wake up at a particular time. While I was waiting to be called up for my interview, I was in the restaurant with some of the girls. I heard the song "Walking on Sunshine" being played on the juke box, which I happened to love at the time. When the song finished I put some money in the juke box so I could listen to it again. I kept humming it and it made me feel good.

Finally, it was my turn to attend the interview. I was told I wasn't suitable. At the time I was devastated because I believed I was born to serve in the British Army.

So while I never joined the Army, at least I was reminded what my true purpose is - walking on sunshine.

Here's the song Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. I LOVE this song.

I feel the love, I feel the love, I feel the love thats really real
I feel the love, I feel the love, I feel the love thats really real

I'm on sunshine baby oh
I'm on sunshine baby oh

I'm walking on sunshine wooah
I'm walking on sunshine wooah
I'm walking on sunshine wooah

And don't it feel good!! Lyrics
The Love sure feels good! Thank you Katrina and the Waves!

A while back I met this woman on our local bus. While we were getting off I offered to carry her bags of shopping all the way to her house as she lived in our neighbourhood. I asked her how she liked the area. She said she's been living there for over 30 years. She said people used to very friendly but now things have changed. She felt there were very few nice people around and she was surprised I had taken the time out to help her with her shopping. Ever since then, she always stops when she sees me to say hello and ask how my mother is doing.

As I was walking home yesterday evening I saw my friend approaching. I smiled at her and asked how she was. She seemed distressed and burst into tears. She told me about the problems she's been having with her neighbours who have been making her life hell. She said she's so scared to get out of her house because she feels intimidated. She said even her kids are scared to go out. She's reported the matter to the police but they haven't helped. She said no one cared about her situation and she didn't know what else to do.

All I could do was hug her and listen as she wept. Then her bus arrived and she thanked me for listening and I let her go. I told her I would keep her in my prayers.

I believe my friend was sent to me for one purpose only - intercession.

What do I mean by intercession?

Intercession is generally regarded as praying on behalf of someone. I like to see intercession as holding the perfect idea of someone on their behalf. In the case of my friend, my role as intercessor is to see my friend and her neighbours, in fact everyone in the neighbourhood, as who they truly are - Love-Light.

My neighbourhood is Love-Light.
My neighbours are Love-Light.
My friend is Love-Light.
All is Love-Light.

I trust in Love-Light to sort out the details.

Whiling the Time Away

On the bus several kids and their parents got on. The kids sat behind me and their dad sat next to me. They were playing "spot the pink taxi" which became "spot the pink car." After a while they changed the game to "spot the green car" because they couldn't see any pink cars. It was time for me to intervene. I told them that I've seen a few pink cars. I said I used to have a dream about wanting to see pink cars and my dream came true in the form of fuchsia taxis, then pink cars, then pink taxis.

Their dad told me they were actually playing Snooker and the car colours were their way of potting the different colours though they had been stuck on pink for quite a while. He said at least that kept them entertained during the journey. I thought it was an interesting way to while the time away.

Here's one game I like to play while I'm travelling on the bus: the "game of tarring everyone with the same brush." I see every experience as Light. If it's raining I call it Light rain or Light weather; I travel on Light buses with Light passengers and Light drivers; I see Light houses and Light buildings; I see Light people everywhere; I see Light trees, flowers and fauna; I have a Light body and have Light feelings and Light thoughts; all is Light.

The "game of tarring everyone with the same brush" is not only a fun way to while the time away, it also reminds me that all is Light.

Right then. This is the end of this Light article, which I'm now going to publish on my Light blog so I can share with my Light readers.

Have a Light day!

On the bus my attention was drawn to Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, where people congregate to listen to those sharing their political and religious views. I have been to Speakers' Corner several times to listen to people speaking and debating issues. I have often admired people's courage for speaking out even when they're being derided by the public.

On another bus I was on, I noticed graffiti on office buildings. I bet the owners of these buildings don't appreciate this kind of art.

What drives people on to speak in public or to express graffiti on buildings?

I believe it has everything to do with Creative Intelligence/Energy that is everywhere present. What if you are so full of this energy and believe the only way you can express yourself freely is by speaking in public or displaying your version of art on buildings, even if your expression is likely to offend others?

I know what it feels like to have so much energy within you and wanting to unleash that energy. There was a time when I wasn't coping very well with this energy and my body felt like someone was passing electricity through it. I was constantly scratching my legs which left scars all over them. It didn't feel so bad during the day when I was out and about doing stuff but night times were the worst; it was pure torture. Every night I had to pray to get some sleep.

I believe the reason why I couldn't cope with the "electrical surges" was because I was seeing myself as having a form. Forms have limits. For instance, my stomach can only take so much food before I'm feeling nauseous. I can only take so much sleep before I'm feeling uncomfortable and need to wake up. I can only write for so long before I want to end the story.

While I did express a lot of the creative energy in writing and in my experiences, there were tons more inside wanting to come out. How can I express myself without doing myself an injury?

The answer was so simple. Instead of identifying myself as a limited form, know that I am Creativity. Creativity is boundless i.e. without beginning or end. As Creativity I can choose to express myself in writing, as an experience, or I can simply be the Energy. After that my legs stopped itching and were healed.

Now when I occasionally receive electric shocks, it's a reminder for me to be Creativity.

I am Creativity.

As I was waiting for my bus I noticed two buses approaching. While both buses travel on different routes they eventually end up at the station I need to get off at. One bus was approaching the bus stop and the other was seconds behind. The one at the bus stop was slightly slower than the one at the back. I decided to go for the one in front.

On the bus I thought to myself, what difference does it make anyway which bus I'm on? Just because I choose something doesn't mean it is the right way; it is simply a matter of what I've got used to choosing. Besides, as Spirit I am in every route.

A few stops down, the bus behind overtook my bus. My bus kept up with the one in front until they arrived at the junction where they parted company: the one in front went left and the bus I was in went right. I wondered which one was going to arrive at the main road first.

At the main road, I saw the one in front was slightly ahead and had stopped at the next bus stop. As no one wanted to get off at that stop, my bus sped ahead and we arrived at the bus station before the one behind.

It's so easy to get attached to a way of being that you start to believe that you are your preferences.

Just because I choose one route over many others doesn't mean it's the right route to use; it is simply a preference.

Just because I was born into the family I was doesn't mean I did so because of "karmic" reasons; the me that I am being now is simply a preference.

Writing is an instrument I choose to express myself. Just because I am being a writer doesn't mean it's the only way that's appropriate for me; it is simply a preference.

The truth is as Spirit, I am in all bus routes, all families, all art forms.

I am not my preference, I am Spirit making a preference.

I was chatting to a friend who has been feeling stuck about life and his chosen career as an actor. He sees so much pain in the world, which he believes many people are ignoring. He shared two poems he'd written about imperialism and slavery. I believed technically the poems were excellent and he performed them well. I was curious to his motivation and know how they made him feel. He believed it was his duty to help people face up to the truth of Britain's involvement in imperialism and why Britain should apologise. He said they helped him to release the pain he feels he has inside. I said if that's what he feels he needs to focus on then so be it. I choose to focus on all the GOOD there is now.

As we chatted my friend said he couldn't remember the last time he felt enthusiastic about anything. He said he felt as if he was dead. I reminded my friend about another brilliant poem he'd written which I asked him to read for me. In the poem someone is asking for help. Help arrives in the form of angels that lift him up into a place of pure love. The love is so overwhelming he feels he can't stay in that place so he asks the angels to return him to the realm of karma and pain. I said the poem seems to represent his beliefs: he would rather focus on pain than experience the love that is all around him now. He agreed but he said he felt that his way is going through the pain. I said that if he truly believes that is his path then he has to go with it. I recommended a book I'd read about a woman who went through emotional and physical pain in order to access her true being; she's even set up a school teaching the same.

As we chatted and engaged in batter and gross silly behaviour he opened up more. He shared experiences he's had that gave him joy. While he was sharing his cheeks grew rosy. I pointed this out to him that he looked very enthusiastic. He thanked me for helping him recall those moments. He even showed me lovely pictures he'd taken with his mobile while he was back home in Ireland.

Later I pondered about aliveness. Aliveness is who we are. Other names for Aliveness are Joy, Peace, Truth, Love, Life, Abundance, Beauty, Wholeness, Gratitude, Generosity and Freedom. These are attributes or gifts of the Spirit. When you are experiencing these attributes you can't help but feel alive. Everything about you comes to life. My friend had looked years younger while he was recalling his happy experiences.

Who needs to take creams and potions to look younger and more beautiful when I can simply be the Joy that I am? In fact, my body's only function is to express Joy.

Joy in all ways.

An Ocean of Love

A few days ago I thought about a young man from Poland who cleans our neighbourhood and wondered how he was. The next day I saw him and I asked him how he was. He said he was dying to get away to the seaside. I asked him if he'd ever been to Brighton. I said it was only about 2 hours by train and it's by the sea. He said he wanted to go to Turkey or Greece, somewhere hot. He said he went abroad six months ago and was hoping to do so in the near future. I wished him well.

Two days later I forwarded friends a lovely video of a friend and her puppy. A friend responded with an invitation to see a new musical called Paul based on the life of Paul in the Bible. She said she wanted to show her appreciation for all the care I show others by paying for the ticket and transportation to the show. Guess where the theatre is? Brighton. We plan to go in two weeks time.

On the bus yesterday a man got on and sat opposite me. He unwrapped what looked to me like a bar of chocolate and started munching. I felt his joy and smiled at him. He pulled out another bar and gave it to me. He said someone had been giving them out for free and he wanted me to have it. It turned out it wasn't chocolate but a fruit bar. I thanked my friend. He said goodbye and he got off at the next stop. I really enjoyed the bar; it was very moreish.

The Universe is an ocean of Love that is constantly sending and receiving waves and waves of goodness.

Post-It Notes

In the film, Bruce Almighty, God gives Bruce God powers to see if he can do a better job than Him. At one point Bruce starts hearing prayers from people as voices in his head. He tries recording each request on a Post-It note but he's soon swamped with post-it notes. His next strategy is to record the prayers on a computer. Because he can't cope with everyone's requests he gives everyone what they want. The effect is that everyone who played the lottery in his local area that week ends up winning the lottery, each player receiving a grand total of $17, which causes a riot. It's a hilarious movie and well worth watching.

I consider all articles I share as post-it notes that I use as timely reminders to myself. If I were to use real post-it notes, I would be swamped. It's a lot easier and cost effective for me to type my reminders as articles, and to list them in alphabetical order so I can have easy access as and when.

These articles are for my own personal use only and not intended to instruct readers in any way. If readers find what I'm sharing useful, that's wonderful; if not, that's also wonderful. Besides, everyone has access to the Truth of being, it's a matter of trusting in what works for each individual.

End of note.

On the bus I heard the bus driver honking at another car, presumably to alert the motorist. He honked again.

I thought to myself that the moment has already gone and the driver is wasting his honk.

You look at something and try to connect what you're seeing with a memory you have in order to make sense of it. While you're making your connections, that moment is gone and you're already stuck in the "past." What is it like to truly live in the moment?

I believe The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony video illustrates what it means to live in the moment. While the singer takes a walk he has different experiences but he never stops to consider whether he's hurt someone or not, he simply keeps going on and focuses on both who he is and where he is headed.

Imagine living like this? You are constantly focused on what needs your attention now for however long it takes and then it's on to the next thing. In other words, you just keep going. There would be no need to complain about anything, no need to regret anything, and no need to forgive anything.

Now, that's Freedom.

At the start of the Billy Jean - Michael Jackson video where Michael is performing at the Motown 25 celebrations, the caption reads: "Yesterday, Today and Forever."

It took many people to create that dream performance, and that moment will last forever. So many people received joy from that performance, so many still do and will continue to do so forever.

Each of us is here to express the joyful, infinite, creative, eternal beings that we are as dreams. Our creations/dreams are here yesterday, today and forever.

This is why I appreciate all media forms, which enable us to express and record our eternal dreams.

Even if the personality Michael Jackson doesn't live forever, his music and performances most certainly will.

I am timelessness.

With Gratitude

There are a zillion and one things I'm grateful about. Today I'm going to focus on that wonderful website - YouTube, where people share their favourite videos. It's a place of pure joy.

I thank everyone who share at YouTube.

Here is one of my favourite feel good songs that's always guaranteed to get me on the dance floor - Spiller - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love). I also LOVE the video.

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony is one of my favourite music videos. I loved it so much I wrote a piece about it called Staying Focused on the Mould.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts you share.

I love you all.

My Whistlestop Tour of London

If you've ever heard of places in London and wondered what they actually look like, this is my whistlestop tour. Are you ready? OK, here goes.

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the Queen. I haven't been inside but I've stood outside it.

Covent Garden Apple Market is a nice place to visit if you're looking to pick up a good bargain or two. Eliza Doolittle, the character from the film, My Fair Lady, worked as a flower girl in Covent Garden market before her life was transformed when she met Professor Higgins.

Covent Garden Piazza attracts street performers that keep one entertained.

Leicester Square, pronounced "Lester", is always crowded. The Square has several cinemas, if you're into films. I've been to all of them. These days I tend to chill out in the garden in the middle of the square.

Millennium Bridge, a steel suspension bridge crossing the River Thames, was built at the end of last century. I use this bridge when I visit Tate Modern, which is another place I like to hang out.

Piccadilly Circus is full of tourists; I tend to avoid it like the plague. :)

St James's Park is a nice place I like to relax in and watch the world go by. The article Being Adorable is based on a visit to this park.

Trafalgar Square attracts many tourists and pigeons. I only go there when they have festivals like the ones I wrote about in Diwali - Festival of Lights and Peace Be With You.

View of the River Thames - I love the Thames. I've taken a few boat trips down it and I love just sitting by the river and enjoying the view.

There are so many more wonderful places in London to experience. Perhaps, when you have time, you can take a real tour at your leisure.

I love London!
